What is Hypnotherapy?

Hypnotherapy involves the use of hypnosis within a therapeutic framework to achieve positive change for clients. Hypnosis is a solution-focused brief therapy (typically 2-3 sessions). Hypnosis has been described as a state of body relaxation combined with focused attention of the unconscious mind. The conscious mind is our state of alert critical attention whereas our unconscious mind is a reservoir of sensory information, limiting habits and often anxieties. The aim is to use proven psychology methods (including cognitive behaviour therapy) to help clients access more resourceful states and achieve lasting change.

Areas where hypnotherapy helps:
Common issues that respond to treatment include smoking cessation, weight-control, pain-control, depression, anxiety (including exam nerves), phobias, OCD, PTSD and many psychological areas. In addition hypnotherapy can increase self-confidence, esteem, focus and creativity which can help you be a better version of you.
