My name is Alexandra (Alex) Addams (DABCH MCAHyp) and I am a hypnotherapist. I trained at the Atkinson Ball College of Hypnotherapy in Southport in 2005 and completed an advanced level qualification in Hypnotherapy and Hypno-healing. Around the same time I studied for 2 years to achieve master level with NLP (neuro-linguistic programming) for which I offer personal development sessions both one-to-one and groups, and went on to study stress management and CBT, collecting my latest diploma this year.
I moved to Inverness last year from Lancashire to be where I feel at home and happy, and now I am moving my therapy business here. Having floundered myself many years ago due to stress and lack of confidence, I realised hypnotherapy in particular was the best starting point I could have found to be able to choose my forward steps comfortably.
I work with individuals to promote the benefits they are seeking, and create a better understanding for them on how the mind works to bring out the best self. I have also tutored groups in stress management and confidence building using self-hypnosis as a powerful tool and some useful and dynamic exercises for my clients to take away and continue their awareness in their own time. Personal development is a passion of mine and my life course is testament to massive improvement using the tools I gained in my studies. I continue to research avidly in order to improve even more, and be current with what my clients are looking for.
