Nutritional Therapy

Nourish offers Nutritional Therapy in Inverness, Scotland

What is Nutritional Therapy?

Nutritional Therapy applies the latest advances in nutritional science to promote the health and wellbeing of clients. Registered Nutritional Therapists use a wide range of tools (e.g. detailed health & lifestyle questionnaire, family history, symptom analysis & functional testing) to assess and identify potential nutritional and microbiological imbalances and understand how these may contribute to an individual’s symptoms and health concerns. The aim is to address and restore the health of the whole person rather than focus on individual symptoms. Nutritional Therapy is recognised as a complementary medicine and is relevant for individuals with chronic conditions, as well as those looking for support to enhance their health and wellbeing.

Who is Nutritional Therapy suitable for?

Nutritional Therapy is suitable for men, women and children and can support most health conditions, particularly chronic conditions where conventional medical treatments may fail. This is because it aims to identify and correct imbalances which may be the root cause of ill health. Nutritional therapy can also support patients who are undergoing aggressive medical treatments. Personalised healthcare packages are moulded to suit each individual’s health and lifestyle needs; they are evidence-based and complement conventional medicine. Nutritional Therapy is particularly helpful for supporting skin and gut health, stabilising mood and promoting brain health, balancing hormones (thyroid, adrenal and sex hormones), improving blood sugar control and weight management. It is also very beneficial in improving immune health.

Food intolerance testing (blood test) and functional testing (hormones, gut health, metabolic health etc.) are available.
